• Mental Health Problems - Smoking is related to higher rates of several mental health problems - mainly depression and anxiety.



• Irregular Sleep - Characterised by having difficulty falling & staying alseep, waking frequently, not able to go back to sleep after waking, restless sleep.



• Sexual Dysfunction - Common effects from smoking are impotence and ED (erectile dysfunction).



• Eyesight - Smoking can lead to cataracts, which in turn can lead to blindness.



• Asthma - This is a chronic condition with the respiratory system in which the airways become inflamed, constrict and produce excessive amounts of mucus. The narrow airways cause symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest.



• Cognitive dysfunction - There is an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease, decline in cognitive ability and memory and brain shrinkage from smoking.



• Organ Damage - The chemicals from smoking travel throughout the whole body and permeate all cells. This can lead to damaging effects of organ function, notably in the kidneys, pancreas, stomach, gall bladder and small intestine.

• Gum Disease - This can lead to tooth loss, receding gums and slow healing of the mouth after oral surgery.
